ParticipantOn paper it looks like a new sale. Overinflates sales numbers. Is B&N looking for a buyer? Besides lots of people never redeem gift cards and they have the cash. All said, I bet they limit that deal very soon. Smart kid. Proud Dad.

ParticipantCurious how do they figure 1085 sqft of garage? Of course, if this indeed the required size you can design it to later be ‘remodeled’ into the adjacent room.
I suggest chatting with a civil engineer first about the foundation. This size garage would require some beefy footings, metal fab beams, etc. Keep us posted.

ParticipantRemember these guys are commission only. So a good work ethic, er, fast production the better their $. Wonder why dealerships are non-union?..

ParticipantCan anyone else envision a giant hotel tower build on that rock overlooking the Temec Valley?

ParticipantGood luck finding them now. There has been a run on them.
I predict they will be back in full production by the new year. They just cleared out their ‘problem children’ and still have fully a functioning production line and a strong brand. Ad agencies are probably working up a brilliant campaign to re-introduce the classic lunchbox treat of the baby boomers. Look at the good times associated with them in this thread. Sure these types of snacks have matured in favor for the less sugar healthier but there will always be a market for them. They are easy lunch additions. Uh, who carries a lunch anymore. 🙂 Will see. Maybe at a new, lower price ..at Walmarts everywhere;)
Ever tried a deep fried twinkie? You will be surprised when you actually like them!

On economic issues the President Obama’s policies align most closely with are Ronald Reagan’s. Obama really is an economic moderate, [/quote]Please, I expect a little more from you PGS. Reagan and Obama in the same camp…right..

ParticipantSharp gal but the message is lost with her presentation. The tie is like a giant zit. You just can’t stop looking at it! Fail.

ParticipantNot really, not yet. Too much uncertainty out there.
Low interest rates should have sparked more RE activity but there is limited personal cash flow to support it. Job outlook still includes many people out of work or underemployed. Especially the >40 crowd. Market is trending down and I’m sure we’ll feel more ripples when new Obamacare regs causes companies to react. Pres just closed more federal lands to oil exploration. New enviro regs hit business in the knees. Throw in a new mid-east conflict and things get ugly.
However, I feel like a spring is being would up. There still is a lot of money on the sidelines in cash. Companies and people are hunkering down not willing to take a lot of risk due to the uncertain future. Sadly, I feel this will run another 4 years. Once Washington is perceived as working together and for a better America watch out for growth like the ’50’s.

ParticipantRight on ctr. Watch for a cash underground economy to expand as well.
