Participant
I would be interested in tagging along with law enforcement officers serving warrants.
Brian: I would encourage you to sign up for a free ‘ride along’ with LE. It would really open your eyes. Maybe even to the point of questioning your political leanings.

ParticipantMy kid had a light bulb moment in high school econ class,no less, about compounding interest. Teacher showed how a little saved now turns into a million dollars later. He was stunned how easy this was and has bought into the idea. (Yeah!)
Of course, I showed him the other side on how interest paid behaves in the same way.
More great stuff about living with less. Amazing how you can still be happy. Bit of tough sell with so much keeping up the Joneses pressure.

ParticipantNice job UCGal. Would sure like this kind of real world analysis and everyday living examples taught to our kids in school.

ParticipantProbably could get the $100k back as pre-marriage assets.
Need sharp attorney to negotiate this as if she had nothing 5 years ago, she may want alimony on top of house sale proceeds.
Maybe if you can keep house ( assuming it will appreciate, like location, or have kids etc.) and pay her $150k ( Sale less husband pre assets then split remaining) you will run out of cash flow to pay alimony 😉 Total long shot.

ParticipantGreat analysis flu! I had a chuckle while thinking what if you indeed saved a bunch of $$ making daily payments, then the bank would create a new ‘frequent depositor’ fee. har. .

ParticipantNailed it livinincali! Thorium is the answer. On so many levels. The real pisser is even if the nuke industry pulled their heads out and started an aggressive education campaign the enviros will throw up tons of roadblocks effectively stopping any production for decades. Sad, really.

ParticipantWhoa. Markets change. What was valuable before can be eclipsed with advancing technology. Pentium III was the bomb, for a while..

ParticipantWill check it out. Thx. Clutter is a giant thorn in my marriage. Remember when your parents saved every copy of National Geographic mag. Why, just why? .. And think of the $$ all the crap represents.. only to throw way. Still not ready for the nude 5 day course though 🙂
( I know it is not all days ….)

Participant+1 –thorium nuclear.
Wish nuclear industry would enlist more outreach to educate people of the safe benefits of this technology. Especially to the enviro folks. Answers all of their concerns.
