Rushed into passage? It took more than a year to get the bill passed. How much time do you need?
Yes, well said.
How much more debate should we have?
Really? Debate? What debate was there. Let’s see…the polling states that the majority of America’s were AGAINST this bill. How is the right thing to do to pass it because “it’s better than nothing”.

GoUSCParticipantI am getting married in Europe in September…I sure hope that Euro devalues a lot more!
On a more serious note, the idea of the Euro was flawed from the beginning. You are asking countries with very strong nationalistic tendencies to give that up and have their economies controlled by others…Others being the two-three strongest countries in Europe. It was a nice idea but I don’t think you are going to see it last. Or if you do it will never be as strong a currency…

GoUSCParticipantI am not happy about the legislation at all. It was rushed into passage, without a full debate. It does nothing about tort-reform. It is poorly thought out and hardly anyone read the damn thing. The bill was poisoned from the beginning because of the backroom deals done. The leaders i the Congress don’t care what their constituents say. I believe we will eventually see a repeal of this bill.
I am all for providing healthcare for those that can’t provide it for themselves. But I have lived in and experience socialized medicine. It is not the utopian experience that Michael Moore would like you to think. It is impossible to see a doctor in any amount of reasonable time. The quality of care can be good but often times is not. And this was in a 1st world country.
How can all of you say “It isn’t that great but it’s better than nothing.” Have we really become so apathetic that we will allow our elected officials come up with and approve a trillion dollar program and be okay with it because it is the “lesser of two evils”? No wonder this country is going in the shitter.
