Participant
tidying the house for the housecleaner is like cleaning the house to get the house cleaned.
Cat, your post is very funny. I always think that tidying and cleaning are different things. Tidying up is just putting my junk away: mail, books, clothes, etc., so that the cleaners can actually clean. Cleaning entails washing, dusting, scrubbing, applying windex to windows.
I also think that the forced tidying is a good thing… or at least I try to convince myself of that! Did you hear what Heather Mills said? She’s the gold digger who married and divorced Paul McCartney, one of the many things she hated about Paul was that he liked to tidy up before the cleaners came.
She didn’t see the distinction between tidying and cleaning either…

ParticipantWe used to pay $65 every 4 weeks for 1700 sf house, no kids, no pets. After the baby came along and we moved, we starting paying $75 for 2350 sf.
Problem is, with the baby we spend far more time at home than before, and also one grandma visits often to help. Therefore, we need more cleaning, so now we go for every other week. I thought they’d give me break in the price for the higher frequency, but no luck. I often round up the pay to $80 anyways.
It’s a cleaning crew, they’re usually 4 people, although sometimes 5 of them show up. It takes them between 60 and 80 minutes. But I have to be observant… they may miss a spot occasionally. One of the is the crew leader, and I suspect he gets a bigger cut, but I’m not sure.

Participant
Who do you guys recommend for pet plastic surgery? My wife had her cat done a while back by a pet plastic surgery specialist who did a fine job, but he’s since retired.Any recommendations? Our dog just needs a little tightening around the eyes.
