I agree it is horrible. However the two new developments up there have sold out quite fast. Anyone at phase 2 this weekend saw the carnage. Personally no, it is not something I would pay however it doesn’t seem to have affected demand.
It is a matter of taste. What irks you and me is somewhat inconsequential to others or at least not enough to stop them.
Where else in the county can they get a new home and that sort of school district?
Not to forget those homes are so close to the path of the last wildfires. I am amazed by the demand for these new homes in 4S Ranch, no matter what the MR and how much the risk.

DAParticipantCongrats sdnerd!
However my main concern was that with COE of these new homes around June/July, interest rates might possibly jump up another percentage point or so. Is there any way to lock rates for this long a period?

DAParticipantHere’s some info I found on the Silhouette mystery. John Laing Homes is now EJL, a new company spun off by Emmar to acquire the assets of JLH.
I haven’t had a chance to go and visit the new sales center and was wondering if anyone here did. If so, could you please post the latest prices with upgrades (if any). Thanks !
Our friends mentioned that the sales office is now open at the site of the original Silhouette models. (Probably until about 4PM each day–not really sure about the times.)
Don’t know if you can view the models, as some are sold. They heard the pricing was from about
$610K-$690K.
DAParticipantHere’s some info I found on the Silhouette mystery. John Laing Homes is now EJL, a new company spun off by Emmar to acquire the assets of JLH.
