Sorry, but I hate granite…and stainless steel appliances. I am addicted to “Property Ladder,” mainly because it teaches me what NOT to do. A few nights ago, a woman shopping for countertops argued with her husband against granite. She said, “Every one of these looks like barf.” A light went on in my tiny brain and I thought, “THAT’S exactly why I hate granite” and I had not been able to explain my hatred to others till I heard that! I have plain white Corian oounters and white Kenmore appliances.
I should add that my family home was bought by my parents in 1966 and my dad has faithfully kept up the “Brady Bunch” look…you know, avocado paint, etc.

ParticipantThese layoffs are in addition to the dozens of reporters/editors who took up the offer of a buyout in December. Unfortunately, Burl Stiff was not among that first group.
