ParticipantHehe…
I hate people using the term Engineer unless they qualify from the above. ITT does not count. You are a Technologist not an engineer.
And SDDuuuude is right. If you can use reference to get hired and not even have to look for a job your in the 20%. Thats how I meet SDDuuuude to begin with.
As for your skills sets… Again, if your the best and know one knows it… What is it worth (in terms of getting jobs)? It is only when you are recongized that it is a benefit and that is when you are in the 20%. Networking is everything in what I do and I am a fat (not big) fish in a little pond.
I suppose in programing it is Ocean…
My school was ranked 31st for engineering…
At least it wasnt from U of A… 😛
All I wanted to do was to learn how to blow the whistle on the train.

ParticipantRemember Eddie Murpy talking about his mother throwing the shoe in the comedy movie “Eddie Murphy: Raw”? I laugh so hard because that was my mom too. Now if it was my mother throwing the shoe he would have gotten dropped like a hot penny!
Apparently she could have made a lot of money training the Mujahadyn…

Participant
Urban: Sorry about the misunderstanding.
If you do ever decide to make a commercial, you should try to incorporate one of those catchy slogans into it that I always see on realtor’s cards like:
Urban Realty “excellence at it’s finest.”
Maybe you could do something like a rap video with you hanging out by a pool in a white suit with a bunch of girls freaking on you in bathing suits.
p.s. Why do realtors always have pictures of themselves on their cards and stuff? You don’t see lawyers or doctors or anyone else doing that.
Just wondering.
Ditto on that… I was going to bring that up but had already hi-jacked the thread enough. I would say about half of the pictures I see I make an opinion about the person up front. Which is bad I know… Some of these guys look like snake oil salesman but in truth could be Yale educated and the most honest hardworking individual you could meet… But I have already formed an opinion about them. And as for the women… Woof Woof Woof! Man some of them are complete eye-candy…
I don’t think the picture is in thier best interest but it seems to be an industry practice…
Where do you guys stand on that?
