How about one bottle for me? (just joking)
I called many places including the winary today after reading the post. No luck. All shops contacted sold out their last bottle.
If anyone knows how to get hold of this wine, please let me know. thanks in advance.Last week, we opened a bottle of Quilceda Creek red 2005. It has its tipical excellent combination of complexity and delicate characters in smell and taste. Another bottle we had last week was 2003 Pride mountain petite syrah. It offers a lasting mid palate full of various dark fruits accompanied with a balanced amount of coca and tonic at the finish. It went amazingly well with dark chocolates.
I am so curious about this 2005 columbia crest reserve cab…

cadreamParticipant“Two final tips, decant when possible and always drink from a big glass (reidel, spegleau or mondavi’s waterford) I can’t express how important it is, especially to those just discovering the joys of red wine, the benefits of a large, quality vessel. Also, never wash your glass with soap or in the dishwasher, just rinse it by hand with water, hell I only do it weekly. Most of you know this, but the newbies will benefit from soap residue free tasting. I can’t tell you how many times a friend gives me a wine to taste and I can’t escape the subtle hint of electrasol or Palmolive”
Totally agree.
Additional tips1. Different wines require different sharps of glasses to allow the best nodes/taste. Riedel did a lot of reserach and perfected on the rim diameter vs high vs sharp for different varietals. That is why they product top rated glasses
2. If you are going to enjoy only a couple of glasses by yourself or with your date and want to avoid washing a decanter, you can use a device called “the Vinturi Essential Wine Aeratorto” to pour your wine. It aerates wine by passing a stream through funnels and enhanced characters of my wines a lot! It is a very cute/small device and easy to use.cadreamParticipant“Two final tips, decant when possible and always drink from a big glass (reidel, spegleau or mondavi’s waterford) I can’t express how important it is, especially to those just discovering the joys of red wine, the benefits of a large, quality vessel.
