ParticipantIts a good area, and you can get some nice views. You should consider it. I used to live in RSF, and find some parts of Poway to be just as satisfying from a unique home and property standpoint. Significantly less expensive if you dont need to impress with a zip code. In that area it is definitely a house by house evaluation, don’t assume the one next door is anywhere as nice as the one you like. Everyone has their own opinion – that’s my experience.

ParticipantHi guys – my company does this sort of work…..but we’re a COMPANY, not rent-an-engineer
ctlmdjb, I am a rent-an-engineer, and work out of my home, as you seem to do as well (at least that is what your web site address indicates, even though you are a COMPANY). I hope your not looking down on those of us trying to earn a living this way π

ParticipantI don’t think it is a terrible time to buy if it is a place you really like.
That said, if you are 29 and single, I would not be in a hurry to buy something. I don’t think prices will drop as dramatically as many here say, but I do feel strongly that they won’t go up. So, if you are single, 29, and chances are prices won’t go up, I would wait.
If you buy now, you want to avoid situations which would lead to selling too early. New job, relationships, etc.
