We don’t ever have 50 degree water here. Here’s last year’s data from the NODC, low temp was 57 degrees at Scripps Pier in February. Right now we’re at a brisk 61 degrees. I’ve swam in water down to 50 degrees, and there is a big difference between 50 and 57.
