ParticipantOn a more fun topic, I just noticed all the cat bashing. I’ve never gotten that cats were “feminine” pets. I’ve always like them because they’re the ultimate killing machines. Dogs have to work together to get a kill and they frequently scavenge and even eat trash. Cats are stealthy solo hunters and if the meat’s not very fresh they’ll turn their noses up at it. Dogs smell bad and poop and pee all over. Cats are toilet trained automatically! You don’t even have to do anything. And they have absolutely no smell whatsoever. You can take a housecat, put your nose right in its fur and sniff deeply. It smells like air. Try that with a lab. As a solo hunter they can’t have any smell or they wouldn’t get any mice. Dogs use their body odor to drive prey; the upwind dogs smell spooks the prey right into the waiting jaws of their downwind packmates.
I love dogs too but they’re a totally different kind of vibe. More like having a kid. Cats raised from kittens will usually be affectionate to their owners but ones rescued from the wild are more distant. They can still be pretty entertaining though. And yes, they are kind of stupid which is also lots of fun too.
Speaking of the ultimate killing machine, if you have a strong stomach, check out Jeff The Giant Orange Cat and his collection of kills

Participant4plex, I have to agree with you now but I’m pained to say that I should have known this earlier. My mom warned me about a year ago that I shouldn’t have ANY retirement money in stocks and I told her that that’s just the way things work now and we don’t have much of a choice. She was born during the depression so her parents taught her that from a young age. I should have listened.
I think from here on out I’m never ever doing any of these tax-deferred investments again. I’ll just pay the taxes and put my moolah into some concrete things near here, whether it’s land or equipment or businesses or whatever. I might try that microinvesting idea, that seems like a good way to keep our money away from the worthless garbage in the “financial services” industry. What a f***ing joke.
These piece of filth worthless wall st. MBA f***ers that have stolen this country out from under us better hide and hide good because once Joe America figures out where the money went they are gonna go looking for them. Run motherf***ers, run. They should be thinking of Kurt Russell in “Tombstone” right about now…
