ParticipantA friend of mine in Phoenix stopped paying on 2 houses, the one he lives in and his rent property. He collected the rent while it foreclosed and went to the bank and pocketed his mortgage money on both properties. He just paid all cash for another house in Phoenix using the proceeds. Now he has a paid-for home and has left the banks holding the bag for the 2 properties. Something tells me he will never be held accountable for this.
He’s actually a pretty nice guy, believe it or not. I couldn’t believe this when he was telling me the story. Oh well, maybe people are just following the example given by the corporations and politicians.

Participant….organized labor and all they’ve proved over the years is their ability to get $70k per year for a job a trained monkey could do (and probably do better).
There are an awful lot of posts on this thread made during normal working hours (8-5 M-F). Say what you want about the overpaid spoiled stupid TRAINED MONKEY American autoworker, but one thing I’m pretty confident is that they don’t get paid to sit around making grade school insults at people they don’t even know on internet blogs.
I guess that’s all I have to say. This thread makes me sad.

ParticipantThis is a necessary piece of a larger puzzle. Once this legislation is in effect, what you will see is that members of the “more equally protected” groups will be placed as pitchmen for new policies (expanded police state powers, more bailouts for the banksters, more wars on 3rd world countries, etc…) When anyone speaks out against these policies, the pitchman will be considered “threatened” and the critics will be silenced.
Everything’s going according to plan…

ParticipantRt.66 I’m afraid you’re not going to change any minds here. This country is toast. The tent cities in my neighborhood grow by the day and now there are children in them (I’ve lived here 8 years and never seen that before). The people here will blame George Bush, they’ll blame Al Gore, they’ll blame Republicans and Democrats and conservatives and liberals and illegal immigrants and hippies and anyone else they can think of, but they will never blame the man in the mirror… (A little shout out to our fallen homie MJ there. Hee heeeeee!)
We are heading straight to the bottom. The lifeboats left some time ago and only us numbskulls are left on the tilting deck, arguing about who’s stateroom is better and who got the best price on the ticket.
