ParticipantReally, you should go thank those *unskilled* workers everyday that they don’t compete with you, instead of denigrating them. You don’t really want them going after your job.
We should be nice to them because we will likely soon all join them when no one needs our “skills” anymore. I think the world can probably live without a few American MBAs and attorneys…

ParticipantOK, I was able to find it. 1811 is 1291sf so that gives ppsf of $373. 1909 is also 1291sf so $389/sf for that one. I’m guessing the difference was the view.
Still too high IMO considering the neighborhood and HOA fees, but at least we are returning to the days when prices were merely high instead of ridiculous. The view from that rooftop deck is pretty nice though…

ParticipantGood news for SC that they were able to sell so many units. Any idea on the square footage of those 2 that you mentioned? Average $/sf of the ones that sold? It would be interesting to know how many of the buyers are going to live there vs. rent them out…

ParticipantSome of us remember living in a world before Wal-Mart. Some of us remember living in a world where the average Joe had a good job and got by just fine. Many of the houses in San Diego were owned by average Joes at one time, they fed their families, sent their kids to college, paid off their houses, and took vacations to Yosemite and Las Vegas. That world is long gone. Is Wal-Mart to blame? I don’t think so, I think Wal-Mart is a symptom of the disease. The disease is (pick your term): globalization, privatization, neo-feudalism, NWO, etc… They all basically mean the same thing. Less for us and more for the guys at the top, who grow fewer in number and more powerful day by day.
Back to work, slaves!
