ParticipantThis comic pretty much sums it up:
http://xkcd.com/1357/It actually came out a couple weeks before this latest “scandal”

I wasn’t sure if it meant he was a large, hairy, lustrously yellow man in the gay community or pessimistic on the price of precious metals and decided not to ask. :-)
Played O-line on the football team at Cal. We became very aware of one of the other meanings when if you go to cyberbears.com instead of the fan forum cyberbears.org 😉
Go Bears!

Participant
Is Farbod Barsum an Iranian name?
Yes, I believe it is Iranian. Some of his first clients were middle eastern royalty.

Yes indeed! I’m really happy for him, he just opened up his new expanded shop, and while we’ll never have one of the $30,000 purses, it’s cool being able to something he designed. In fact, this is very similar in design to one he had sewn himself and used when he was my roommate.

ParticipantI have a normal leather wallet for every day, but my wife just got me one that was designed by one of my roommates from college:

ParticipantInteresting, I wonder if adding it on to new construction helped with the price?

ParticipantI am also looking into this, but hate having to deal with all the sales pitches just to get pricing info. What are some estimates for the cost/size of the solar projects people have done recently?

ParticipantI only don’t go to ARCO because they don’t take credit, the costco AMEX gives you 3% back on gas(~12 cents/gallon now). That being said, I’ve yet to actually get gas at Costco, and I bet a majority of those people in line would gladly pay $1 to cut to the front, but will wait there instead of going down the street on the principal of getting the cheapest gas.

ParticipantWe don’t really have the equity, which would be the easiest route. We’re at ~90% LTV now, and lending is pretty tight. I think there’s definitely some programs out there, I’ll keep this post updated if I find anything good!
