ParticipantBreeze: Dude! Kick down some of what you’re smoking to the rest of us! You don’t really buy that, do you?
The Dems are neck deep in this as well. Laying this off on the Republicans is not only farcical, it’s completely wrong.
You keep offering this Obama polemic while tacitly ignoring his appointments and his pronouncements. I don’t mind a little triumphalism here, but you are completely ignoring facts.
Let the Big 3 go Chapter 11. This is exactly the type of scenario that Chapter 11 was designed for. Ford and GM are actually well positioned in Europe and China and BK won’t hamper that effort, it will actually help it. BK will also help with the burdensome legacy costs that Detroit is carrying and the pension fund issues, including the overhang and the “raiding” that all three have been doing for years.

ParticipantDan: Surely you jest. While I was happy to see Ministry on your playlist, I was sorely disappointed to see no mention of Skinny Puppy or Front 242. What’s up with that?
And where’s the metal? No All Shall Perish? No Celtic Frost? I thought you were a Bay Area dude?
Trent Reznor is the man, though.

ParticipantNot if Bubba is from Alabama or Texas, it ain’t.
The one property shown above yours has ppsf pricing near what you’d find in Pacific Heights or Cow Hollow in San Francisco, which means the idiocy isn’t confined to your boy Bubba the Polish Jew.
I’m starting to see pricing in those areas of SF that is down around $500/sf (from upwards of $1,000/sf), which means even the normally impervious San Francisco is starting to weaken.
The news from the tech front should be hitting “The Fortress” (Sta Clara county, especially Mountain View, Sunnyvale, Cupertino, etc) shortly. That’s gonna be interesting.
