ParticipantWhen we bought our house about a year after the developer started the second phase, it was already on its second developer. It started out as Pacific Scene, then Continental, and finally REI bought out Continental. Later there were some issues regarding a bridge that washed away in one of those 20 year floods… Who knows what will happen five years from now and if the builder will even be solvent?

ParticipantThe Times of London in 1894 predicted that by 1950 every street in the city would be 9 feet deep in horse manure. I believe technology will prevail and oil will be the manure of this century. Here is the “From Horse Power to Horsepower” article link:

Piggs didn’t invent shadow ____, it has been around since the 50’s. There was a well know expression about there bring a “Shadow President,” after Eishenhower had a heart attack. Perhaps this was before your time…
