I live in an association and the monthly dues were supposed to come down after the build out was complete and that never happened. It has consistently been raised. I would not expect the dues to decrease and unless you can get it in writing, I would not believe that sales pitch. I am sure it is a nice place to live and for the most part associations serve a valuable purpose.
