ParticipantI think there are a lot of desperate people trying to hang on and make a sale any way they can. This really sounds like someone who is drowning. I sold a house using Craig’s list and easily received 100 calls from hungry realtors. The ad ran for one week, then we pulled it because we had a solid offer. The phone rang for months. We were not giving it away. It was priced to sell and most of what we had done to the house was cosmetic: no new kitchen or serious upgrades, just new paint, carpet and tile. They would say anything to get me to tell them the address, some said they were taking a survey, etc. You could really feel the hunger. I think the blood letting might be good for this profession in the long run.
