asianautica: You do realize that “lakehouse” is “Marion”, don’t you?
With that in mind, does the vile spew surprise you? Remember, if you don’t agree with her, she’ll denigrate and demean you as well.

November 8, 2008 at 11:38 AM #301531AnonymousGuest
Marion (lakehouse): Canada’s system is indeed far from perfect as even a little bit of research will show.
I’m not familiar with Canada’s healthcare system, so I’d never suggest it was perfect. I have a Canadian friend who benefits from it, however, so I do know it’s working, perfect or not. Most importantly, it’s better than nothing. At least all Canadians have some form of medical coverage; here in the states, we do not.
Greed has nothing to do with it. That’s the typical rhetoric one would expect from someone of your ilk. I want to keep as much as I earn and there is nothing wrong or “greedy” about it.
I beg to differ. You want to become fat and lazy, as I’m sure you have…while other people less fortunate than yourself, oftentimes and through no fault of their own (e.g. mentally ill) suffer. Nice caring attitude there. Good luck with that.
You show me one social entitlement program that’s worked, including farm subsidies and corporate welfare (to be fair to both sides), and I’ll enthusiastically sign up.
I’ll reference a couple off the top of my head: welfare and WIC. Although I’ll admit, it’s often abused by mothers who want to use the system and avoid employment, the program STILL puts food on the table for the offspring of these mothers. That makes it worth it.
Do you even know what WIC is? Do you even care? I’ll bet the farm for someone like you, the answer will be a resounding “NO”. Nevertheless, WIC provides pregnant mothers and then their babies (up until five years of age) with nutritious food.
[
And I don’t see the election so much as a sweeping endorsement of Obama than a repudiation of Bush’s tenure and policies.
Although Bush was/is very stupid, it’s a known fact that the middle class and poor do much better with a democratic president and controlled congress. As previously stated, I think people are just tired of the greed. That comes with any Repub president.
Your attempt on another thread to “whitewash” (sorry, the only term that really worked) Rev. Wright is another example of rhetoric and polemic running wild, while obscuring the fact that the Dems offer nothing new and haven’t since 1968.
Provide an explanation on how I tried to “whitewash” Wright, so I can prove you wrong.
Instead of dealing with the problems and solutions, instead you’ll just do your usual flinging of invective, vitriol and ignorance. I’m sure that if I were black, I’d be an Uncle Tom in your book, too.
I would disagree with that. I would hesitate to define you as an Uncle Tom if you were black, just a greedy soul, devoid of a conscious. That perception is formed from your many posts on the subject of politics specifically the people’s responsibility to it’s fellow citizens.

Oh and mutha, is merely a phonetic spelling of how one might pronounce it when adding fvckr to the end of the word. Nothing racist intended at all.
