I see these all the time on craigslist. I’ll be moving to the East Bay (San Francisco) soon and I’ve been cruising the “for rent”. I see things like this come up all the time. Doesn’t make much sense for someone right now, I think all they would get is the most unsavvy of investors and buyers with terrible credit. But thats what they are looking for, the “greater fool”.
