False hope. He may think that his house is unique, he may think that he has superior location or upgrades, he may be in denial about the market price. Or, he may realize that he’s asking too much, but he’s willing to waste 3 months listed at an inflated price, hoping that a witless buyer shows up, to protect his savings and his credit rating.

Whenever I drive through I keep expecting the Stepford wives to lurch out into the streets. We are having a tough time finding anything in Carlsbad that is nice but not so cookie cutter. Any ideas? Maybe in Encinitas?

While the homes are not 2006/2007 they are 1995 to 2002 built. Nicer neighborhoods IMO, larger lots, better locations, better schools, no flyovers etc.
