I am in house-hunting mode and recently added PQ to my geographic criteria (in addition to RB, Poway, Scripps Ranch, and Sabre Springs).
In my cruising of PQ to familiarize myself with the area, I noticed that along the east side of Salmon Run (from like Montalban down past Limar a couple of blocks) there is a long strip of undeveloped land that appears to be part of the properties whose backyards face down onto Salmon Run.
What’s up with that land? Is it some kind of easement? What should a prospective home buyer in the area east of Salmon Run or along Salmon Run know about that track of land?

They park the busses there all the time. Right across from the Casablanca condos. I am not sure what the deal is with that land either. It could very well be what you mentioned above but for sure I do not know of any plans for development in the near term. Manmom is about as PQ savy as anyone here and may know more.

Yes, the tract of land is an underground aqueduct. Goes through older PQ section of Salmon River, past the firehouse and near the YMCA, runs south through salmon river area down the hill and behind the houses on Branicole Road to the pump station at the intersection of Mercy Road and the freeway.
