ParticipantThere is a happy medium between neglected and wasted and private park. I have what I’m sure would be considered “oversized” especially for Carlsbad and my water bill so far is less than anyone I’ve compared it with amongst nearby family, friends, and neighbors. It’s even less than my friends who have condos and townhomes. I’m really not sure what they are wasting water on? We have always worked hard to conserve water in various ways and it pays off. Our lot is definitely not neglected or wasted but it’s not a lush manicured lawn everywhere either. If I had an estate lot over an acre or many acres I would definitely have it much more natural. I’m sure part of it would include trails to ride my dirt bike. π
