July 26, 2010 at 6:38 AM #583115SD RealtorParticipantI had a listing in Tampico last year that was on the slope you are talking about. Inside the home the road noise was not bad. Outside in the backyard it was pretty noisy. That is a busy street. The home sold very quickly because it was in great condition and showed well. The sellers did not mind the noise at all and I guess the buyers did not. Personally I would not have gotten used to it.

I think The homes in Tampico do not have long enough driveways to park in them, so you either park in the garage or on the street. Lot’s of people end up parking along Westview Parkway. I’m not sure about how the hill affects the noise from the street.
Hage is a great school. Yes, you can apply for an inter-district transfer to Dingeman, but that doesn’t at all guarantee that you will get it. It’s all based on if they have enough room for you, and you have to re-apply every year. the Westview neighborhood is a great little slice of Mira Mesa, but it is not Scripps Ranch. Certainly the people of Scripps Ranch do not consider it so.
