Sure some smart contractor will take equity in exchange for his/her supervision of the remodel. You can do the work, it just needs to be done to friggin code.

Just, yeah the law is worthless because most notorious flippers just use a contractor.
The law is dumb. Flipping can be controlled with the elimination of Zero Down/ Zero doc loans. The market did this on it’s own when the “free” money disappeared.
