I defer to resident MM pro and agree you can find prices at this level in MM. The challenge is finding a premium home like that at that kind of price as AN has so accurately put forth. I wouldnt expect many prime canyon lot homes in great condition North of Cristobal to be out there for sale.
Yep, right now, all the canyon lot homes (total of 2) that’s not by the power line (you should know the area I’m talking about if you’ve been looking in MM) are both around $600k. One is highly upgraded but only have 1700 sq-ft and the other is not but have 2100 sq-ft and is in a slightly better area. Both of those were bought in the 90s for around $200k, so, I doubt they’re distressed (hence the asking price). You can expect similar deal going forward for your average house in MM where there’s a lot of supply. However these premium lot homes and/or houses in certain development in MM where there is a short supply, I think their price at at least around late 2003 now, no longer late 2002.
