US Government controlled housing market

All of us here at the Pig know full well the extent to which the Gooberment is involved with housing.
We would have to be gullible to not think that even more involvement is not at hand and to a degree corresponding to how deeply the Free Market is attempting to correct the imbalances. The Gooberment will work to sustain the imbalance just as hard as the “invisible hand” of the Free Market that is trying to correct the imbalances.

This is a battle to the death, so to speak. The Government currently is able to spend money it doesn’t have only because the world markets still have faith in the U.S. economy. When the time comes, and it will, that the world markets lose that faith, the U.S. government will not have enough money to feed the hungry in this nation let alone squander trillions fighting the free market.

Once the Government is out of the picture, housing will finally adjust to levels that make economic sense. Save your money til then or move to a part of the country that has corrected despite the stupidity of our leaders, BOTH Democratic and Republican.

Where to park your wealth in the mean time is the big question. I would do 50% cash and 50% Gold because the deflation argument has a lot of merit but the inflationary argument does as well. Going 50 50 you are protected no matter what the out come.

I don’t know when this fateful time will come but I believe that there is a 100% chance in the next 7 years and a 50% chance in the next two to three years.

figure 72,000 down, i’d borrow 25k from aretirement acct, 8k credit, i’d really just be out of pocket 39,000, which isn’t all that much if the government can assure me the value of my house wont really go down very much. has some granite. 7 bedrooms i think. anyway, a lot of bedrooms, although probably technically some of them aren’t bedrooms. we’ve never come this close and my wife is freaked because she’s not in super love wiht it. isn’t this about more than extrme love? its justa house
