December 6, 2010 at 6:08 PM #636117UCGalParticipantHey CDMA Eng, SDDuuuude, et al… do you guys do battle bot demos for robot crazy 4th graders? Send me a message if you do.
The kids are on a high – they got the “Rising Star” award on Saturday’s FLL Championship. They’re robot didn’t perform as well as it could have during the robot matches – but they were able to talk to the technical judges about the design, re-design, re-re-redesign to address problems they encountered when building and programming. Makes my engineer heart swell with pride at how much they learned about problem solving and perseverence.
I’d love to have them see a REAL robot… it might inspire them to get even more serious about this stuff.
