Torrey highlands neighborhood

Hello,

We really like some homes in the torrey highlands neighborhood..especially ones in Sherbourne lane with a view. We had one 2-year-old and planning for another one.

I did notice that the assigned elementary school is willow grove which is in del sur and 5 miles out from the sherbourne area. WE both work on either side of torrey highlands…I also did not see any good montessori/home daycares nearby.

Anyone know more about whether school buses come in and more info on nearby montessori/home daycare.

Any more info about the neighborhood?

We currently live in Scripps Ranch and have excellent school/daycare/montessori nearby, we are looking to move to bigger home but not sure if torrey highlands is good for families with young kids due to above concern. Also there is no good park in walking or <2 miles distance.

We chose not to live in Torrey Highlands and instead are north of the 56 for these very reasons. Our nearby park is just critical for our quality of life, and walkable schools are wonderful.
