I haven’t asked for a boycott of any or all foreign goods. None of my posts here solicit government handouts. I’ve never weighed in on any of the recent bailouts.

While you have gone off on fifty seven unrelated rants, I have tried to stay focused on one goal.

I have endeavored to come up with a simple solution that everyday Americans can have a shot at achieving without taking too much time from their busy lives. It’s a possible tactic to keep history from repeating itself and allowing more imported brands to get a foot hold here like the Japanese were wisely able to do in the 70’s while everyone, including GM, was asleep at the wheel.

Jeff Bridges, handsome, talented, successful and deservedly wealthy American actor has been shilling for Korean car company Hyundai on TV and radio for quite some time now.

And Hyundai’s sales keep climbing. I would like to put a dent in those numbers but I need your help.

Why don’t you direct your anger towards something that might have a chance of making a constructive change towards leveling the playing field for what’s left of the American auto industry.

Err, actually I take that back… I am pissed at our government throwing my tax dollars at piss poor managed companies instead of investing in our future generations..I worry our future generation will get left behind on the global scale. The reason why jobs are going overseas pretty soon isn’t going to be about “cost”. It’s going to be because of lack of know-how. Conveniently, too many folks got cushy with their quality of life and didn’t bother to invest in their own self. And this tradition will continue until something drastic happens.

I’ll let you in on a secret. Much of what you say here or anywhere will go in one ear and out the other…I think most americans don’t like to be told what to do and how to think (the ones that are able to think that, at least). i think folks call that fascism…And some people here probably don’t like seeing this “wealth redistribution” plan…That’s called socialism/communism. Me also thinks most of folks on this board are slightly more enlightened than you give credit….Though I have to say, it has been a pretty clever attempt to try to get people to blog on Jeff’s site and on your own nitpicknation blog.

And, ask a few folks why I go off on tangents on this thread…It’s a tradition here….Unfortunately, football and basketball season are out. I think you’re the one that probably need to sober up a bit buddy and refrain from hitting all those bars after you’re done with those webpages. 🙂

My dad had a 73 buick century with a 455 that he kept for me until the 90ies, does that count? Yeah, I know not quite the muscle car…But that thing was like a tank. Was sad to see it go.
