blahblahblah
ParticipantThe facts in this video are so far off…Joseph Goebbels would be proud.
Huh? Goebbels was propaganda minister in a corporatist state. He would have had the people that made that video rounded up and sent to a camp. The whole regime he worked for was based on acquiring more land to extract more stuff out of to make more stuff to sell to people with the profits going mostly to him and his crony buddies.
I’m not saying I totally agree with that video and yes it is simplistic, but to suggest that it is corporatist propaganda is just wrong.
BTW if you don’t know the definition of corporatism, it is a more correct term for modern fascism, as stated here by its inventor:

ParticipantJust remember that a hair over 200 years ago…that is a very short time…this country did not exist, there was no electricity or running water, and people used a little hole in the backyard as a restroom.
The rate of change in the last two centuries has been astounding and makes me wish I had a time machine to see the year 2210.
Indeed, huge changes in 200 years. What does the future hold? I don’t know but I’ve always been a fan of American artist Thomas Cole’s “The Course Of Empire” paintings.

ParticipantMy uncle, for years, had a sign over his desk in his office (until HR made him take it down) that said…
and this is a direct response to the topic…
“Put out! Or get out!”
Deal with it and stop sounding like a pussy.
People have been making that same chicken little arguement since before my grandparents were born…
The world is changing… What to do?!?!?
Deal with it. Adapt and survive.
Otherwise I hear the “old running the car engine in the gargage” is a nice way to go.
Sorry… The thread just really bit on a nerve.
