I LOVE that scene, particularly Jonathon Winters’ lines at the end. “Not pay taxes? Why that’s like stealing from the government! Even businessmen who lie and cheat everyday have to pay taxes!”

People can choose to be what they want. The majority of the population are pawns. Indeed they do not think for themselves or stand up and do what they know in their MIND is correct.
So yes you are absolutely correct and illustrate my point about the victimized buyer who can convince themselves that ultimately they really were not fully responsible for their own actions. Just remember, not all of us were pawns. Only those who chose to be.
