August 8, 2010 at 4:51 PM #588129bearishgurlParticipantscaredy, your spouse is right about a “stupid tract suburban piece of hell” as they don’t hold their value near as well as customs on acreages (ESPECIALLY RIV Co. tracts).
Here’s a very WELL-BUILT REO listing in an “estate area.” Sold for $954K in Sept. ’95 – asking $479K and doesn’t appear to need any (expensive) work (except for probable gravel/asphalt repairs to the access road/driveway) as the previous owner(s) did it all and spared no expense! Their loss is your gain :=)

Located just 20 mi. south and 26 mins. from the courthouse in Temecula and maybe even less to your office – lol. Remember, all those other poor TV slobs are going the OPPOSITE direction during rush hours. And the school bus comes right down Lilac Rd.

Even if you are unable to get the price under $440K, how could you go wrong here?? This is probably less than it costs to “break ground” today. You and your family can “grow into” this home, scaredy. There’s even a completed guest house!
Just trying to get you thinking “outside the box.” 😉 I maintain that you DO NOT have to overpay.

This is where you’re limiting yourself, scaredy and why you have been and are stuck bidding in “stupid tract suburban piece of hell” land.
Do yourself a favor and ask yourself how long you will actually be working in Temecula.
