Aecetia: Give him to me. I’d be more than happy to put the million bucks Uncle Sugar sunk into training my happy ass to good use.It would take him about three days to die, but he’d have plenty of time to commune with Allah beforehand.

As to torturing him, what’s the point. That’s solely used to send a message and as personally enjoyable as it would be to go after him with a metro phone book, a blowtorch and a pair of Craftsman pliers, it wouldn’t serve the greater good.
Now I know that that Christians enjoy revenge and torture as payback for actual or perceived wrongs committed by others.
Where is the forgiveness and the compassion?

November 10, 2009 at 11:22 AM #479943Allan from FallbrookParticipantBrian: As I’ve said before, I’m not a Christian. I’m a Jesuit educated Catholic.
Think Torquemada and the Spanish Inquisition.
Think Society for the Propagation of the Faith.
Think Crusades.
Think Saint Augustine’s Theory of Just War.
There is no forgiveness. There is only the cleansing fire of righteousness.

The CIA is neither Central nor Intelligent. There are several little fiefdoms within the CIA.. each trying to gain power/protect themselves at the cost of another ‘fiefdom’. The CIA also does not act Intelligently.. it acts bureaucratically.
Remember that the CIA had warnings from their men in the field that several Arabs were taking pilot training and that they seems more concerned with flying and less with take-off/landing. The higher ups dismissed the warnings from the men in the field. This was pre 9/11
