Temecula in 2018

Can anyone guess what Temecula will be like in the next 5-10 years?

We have seen houses ON the Redhawk golf course that was over 3K sf, with a pool/spa, baclony and decent floorplan. one was a short sale with an ask price of $499K.

We’ve seen some places with .25 acre lots, but need work and are closer to $400K. There are even homes in the high $200s that are livable.

However, a few of the neighborhoods looked a little rough. I mean, guys who looked like gang-bangers covered in tatoos, dew rags, wearing baggy pants, and driving monster trucks with the huge wheels. In these three cases, when we checked out the houses on the market, the neighbors I’m desicribing lived in houses with backyards that were totally TRASHED. One house had a bunch of scary looking guys in the back, playing loud hip-hop music, and there was literally trash all over the yard – cans, papers, old rusted car parts. It was gross.

If the house prices continue to drop, will it affect Temecula’s demographics? Will there be more renters or “affordable housing”?

Everyone has to live somewhere. But I guess we’re looking for more of a Wisteria Lane (for you Desperate Housewives fans out there) experience.

I’m also shocked that Centex is continuing to build new homes!!!!!
