I think when you are ready to look you might take and unconventional approach, alongside the traditional, look at listings . No,I am not trying to trigger another bout of OCD. Ask around, run an add as a buyer in whatever kind of community press you have up there. Just relax about it and see what comes of it.You want a special house/site as much as a deal why not try? Look at houses that you like that aren’t for sale and try to ask if they are thinking about selling in the next couple of years. Didn’t you drive by a few and say “wow I wished that was for sale!”
You might get lucky.
Maybe someone wants to sell a a little down the road and will give you and option at a good price since they are secure in having at least a potential buyer? I am not fishing for work with you and you know I respect your agent and your decision to work the way you have, but why not find someone up there that is connected and will beat the bushes for you?
