FLU. The RS4 will not make the move with me to SD. I have to sell it before I move. You can have it for $60k. It is an ’07 and MSRP is $74k for a similarly equipped new one. For you I will throw in custom mats, a car cover, Audi jacket and cap and even a 1:18 scale model of the exact car. It is Phantom black on black and fully loaded. Come on, I can see you in it already.
Also, despite having previously owned 3 M3’s and an M5 and currently owning an ’01 S54 M Roadster, I don’t like the new M3 much and would prefer the RS4 over it (I am just not into the post Bangle BMW design world). My little roadster is the car that will make it to SD. When I lived in SD 9 yrs ago or so, I had a Z3 so it is only fitting (my wife had a Z3 too). That is the perfect SD car for me.
Navydoc. My original Z3 never left SD. I sold it to a Naval officer. I credit the Navy for giving me my start in SD and enabling me to start my education. I am definately a proud veteran.

April 10, 2008 at 10:31 AM #184325NavydocParticipantAlways liked the Z3 more than the Z4. Was planning on buying a Z3 verion of the M roadster, but found a really nice ’96 911 cab instead. not sorry for the choice either, will probably keep this car forever. Noticing the 993 values starting to creep up a bit, turns out it was a good financial decision too, but, like I said, I’ll probably never get rid of it.
By the way, ever drive a Miata? I had one as a resident in San Diego, and questions to my sexuality notwithstanding, it was the best driving car for the money I’ve ever driven. Can’t hold a candle to the Porsche, but the entry cost aint quite so steep.

April 10, 2008 at 11:10 AM #184345NotCrankyParticipantI am one of the poor rich guys you referred to Raptor. I really appreciate your comments there. Maybe I am wrong but I think most people in your shoes don’t get it. I educated myself just as hard to get to be rich this way as other do to get rich your way .I have no diplomas. I could go five or more years with out a job and be better off than most people even if my wife lost her part-time job where she makes not so much but finds fulfilment. I can live just fine marginally, but honestly employed. Periods higher success are huge windfalls by my standard. I will hopefully reach my retirement goals which are simply to be able to live like I do now without selling off my modest assets and by that being able to organize them to suit kids. Meanwhile my kids have never been under the care of anyone but my wife and I with the exception of a few occaisions with friends or family. We had 3 boys under five until Dec. when the oldest reached that milestone. We refused to put them in care until they are old enough to discuss it with us. This is excruciatingly hard and yes you do have to be rich one way or another to do it.
I also grew up very poor, in every sense of the word except for a maybe a few, like a third world one for example. So I think you should let me sell you a house. LOL
See you around TargetNavydoc. Congrats on the baby.
