We don’t know how low its going to go, but lower than here and now is certain. If so why lock in now? What no other place will satisfy you? Is moving that painful? I have a feeling, though I don’t know you that you have been itching to buy for a while and just now something has come into your sites.
Interest rates will go up, prices will drop more, there is no real upside to this. Especially if you commute to the bay, or hope to move there anytime soon.

ParticipantOff subject somewhat, Vacaville seems to be distinguished by being too far from a railway. Not a thought you hear in SD of course , but relevant in SF. If a person is an SF commuter, access to the Bart for example is important. And the bart goes out the same distance as Vacaville in certain directions (eg Dublin).
By the same token, why didn’t the state government require those hundreds of developers and landowner sellers in places like Vacaville to fund a mass transit system from their profits . Did they think that would be communism?
