We have one of those, but it isn’t nearly so dramatic. It’s actually made our new development far more social (in real life) than our previous neighborhood. There’s a block party for every holiday.
Complaints about drones, minor mud slides, and that one guy who insists on walking his big dogs off leash is about as bad as it gets.
Maybe it will get worse as more people discover it.
I think we should have more uncaught perpetrators. If the America rich know they’re liable to have their cars burnt or their nuts kicked, maybe they won’t be so smug about defunding things that help average/poor people.
I particularly liked the one referring to the condescending “friendly reminder”. We’ve had one woman in our area who was passing out “friendly reminder” flyers to people who were waiting in the fire lane to pick up their kids after school. Apparently at one point if physical altercation ensued and either the flyer distributor or distributed was arrested. She also was very upset about the language being used by middle schoolers at Panera.

I own several properties is a complex and I’m on the board directors.
I take pics of dirty front doors, illegal BBQ on balconies, leaky cars, live plants outside doors, etc. It can be a full time job keeping people in check.
I remind owners of rising rents, etc…. need to gentrify the community. I’m ok with complainers now. They have my blessings, except for nimbyism against development.
