Marion, email me at [email protected] with the specifics of your find and I’ll give you my opinion but the price is right and the shorts are starting to get a good look in our valley because the repos are way too abundant.
Will do.

January 17, 2008 at 8:33 PM #137688bearvineParticipantThanks TG for the mad props.
I am too infrequent of a visitor to be anywhere near your street cred for the area. I did spend the day in Temecula area today, so I like to visit this board when I get home and see what’s happening. Was pleasantly surprised to see my alter ego receiving compliments from none other than the Marlo of Temecula hood of the Piggington city.
No golf today, but a late breakfast at South Coast Winery- the chef’s breakfast rocks- and then drinking and gambling at Pechanga. I always have a blast.
Again though, if you have a family, PASS on Wolf Creek.
If you have to commute to LA, OC, or go past RB SD way, forget about living in the area. There’s jobs, but not enough high paying positions to justify the current prices.
True stat- Temecula has more people per capita with post grad degrees than most cities in SoCal, yet almost ALL of them live out of the area. And, the majority would take a 15% pay cut to no longer commute. Problem is, there’s nothing for them to do in the area.

January 18, 2008 at 8:44 PM #138460paramountParticipantWhy Pass on Wolf Creek if you have a family? It is across the road from a casino, but Wolf Creek still seems family oriented. Pools, parks, new schools, etc…
Update on Wolf Creek Prices:
*Laurel: Believe it or not the prices seem to be going up. 2500 sq. ft. for 360k+ in an older phase.
*Sycamore: Checked in today, sales lady tells me these prices are great, and they are really selling. I’m like, yah right. Then I go home and check the price sheet, compare it to last weeks and sure enough, they sold about 3-4 homes (some may fall through, still I am surprised) since last weekend. Of course they may have just removed them from the sales sheet.
*Redwood (Standard Pacific): 4500 sq. ft. will set you back 610k starting price, ready to move in. No deals there – yet.
Overall, not a whole lot of price reductions. And yet, houses are still selling.
