Haven’t seen any postings lately about Santee. How are the homes at Skyranch selling right now? Are they still building new homes up there and what are the prices?
December 7, 2011 at 10:21 AM #734176NotCrankyParticipantThat little island rock with one house on top out there in the middle of Santee cracks me up. It looks 100 times funnier than it did before they built they hell out of the side of the surrounding mountains and the big malls came to town. That house used to belong to the richest dude in Santee.

All the Eaglepointe homes are sold out, all the Northstar condos are sold out, and they are selling the final phase and models of Crestview with great views looking West. Prices are in the low $500s to low $600s for Crestview 2400 to 3200 sq. ft. model homes. Low interest rates are keeping demand solid, or as solid as it can be for this time of the year and the real estate market in general.
They are hoping to get approval from Lennar to start building on the remaining Stoneridge lots, yet a decision doesn’t appear to have been made to date.
They may be sold out by the end of the year, until, if, when, Stoneridge plans are started back up. Hard to say on this one. If they get approval, you may see Stoneridge homes starting in the Spring of 2012.

February 27, 2012 at 11:14 PM #738813SkyRanchOwnerParticipantSky Ranch is currently SOLD OUT!!
There are still approximately 2 homes under contract. Unless they fall out, then Sky Ranch has completely sold out of the remaining Crestview homes.
No word has been given on the remaining Stoneridge lots, and what Lennar plans to do here.
We should know soon.
Monthly HOA is down to $298 per month from a past high of $342 per month.

Apparently the Mayor thinks living in Santee is like living in La Jolla. Now if we can get him to say that it’s a ten minute commute.

“Mayor Randy Voepel likes to call Santee the La Jolla of East County”
so it is actually less than 10 minutes, because it basically IS La Jolla.
March 20, 2012 at 10:24 AM #740266sdrealtorParticipantSoon El Cajon will be using the 10 minutes from Santee for cachet
March 20, 2012 at 10:34 AM #740267briansd1GuestSantee reminds me of the towns in Texas, outside of Houston or Dallas/Fort Worth.
The town center has all the big box stores, surrounded by houses. And then you have a neighborhood of more expensive houses.
Perfect suburban planning. That’s nirvana.
May 5, 2012 at 11:54 AM #743039SkyRanchOwnerParticipantSo, the saga continues!~
Lennar just announced that it will start a new phase of development called Crescent Heights up in the Sky Ranch community.
These will be built on the prior Stoneridge lots.

Hopefully these don’t turn into “rental suites” versus elderly or college age children areas.

Sky Ranch Owner, are you selling your house? 🙂
May 5, 2012 at 10:42 PM #743059anParticipantInteresting idea. So, you can get a primary resident loan, seal up that wall, and voila, you have a 1 bedroom apartment to rent out. The number might work out very well if you rent out that “apartment”.
