Participant
I think TK might be right…I may have been mistaken about Spring Valley. From what I remember, at least a portion of the community is not La Mesa school district – either LG or SV.
With all the homes being bought near the peak when creative financing was flourishing, I can’t imagine there won’t be a lot more short sales/foreclosures in this neighborhood.
evolusd, Casa de Oro, adjacent to Serramar, is part of Spring Valley, both uninc areas. La Mesa & Spring Valley are in the same elem. school district. All the Middle and HS’s in LM and Spring Valley are part of the Grossmont Union HS District (GUHSD). As previously mentioned, Serramar is located within the Helix (Charter) attendance area (with a probable alternative of Monte Vista). Serramar is not a very big development, as developments go, so I don’t think there will be future markdowns on a large scale at Serramar.
Hey, if I can remember correctly, weren’t you the Pigg considering moving to Colo not long ago?

ParticipantGood memory! A move to Denver is still in the cards, although I’m currently more focused on Austin, TX.
Any Piggs know anyone in Austin I can network with to find a job? ๐
