Calculated Risk is one of my favorites. It is not a dedicated housing site but economics are an important part in trying to get a handle on where things are going.
BTW, is anyone else puzzled by the rumor that Buffet is interested in HOV? It just does not seem reasonable to me.
July 13, 2007 at 5:11 PM #65762speedingpulletParticipantI’m also a new convert to Dr Housing Bubble, plus, as I live in L.A, I’ve also taken a liking to Westside Bubble:
http://westside-bubble.blogspot.com/ too.Housing Panic, hmm, I can take it or leave it – I like Keith’s take on the housing Bubble, but disagree with a lot of his opinions on other social issues, and I get pissed offf that he seems to hate the UK so much, despite living there.
Plus, the treadjacking by anonymous loonies on both the left and right fringes gets really dull after a while. The religion-‘n-politics over here is a minnow in comparison to the blue whale over there on HP.Patrick is good too, but I always feel a bit like I’m eavesdropping – they’ve always been nice to me over there, but they are very focussed on the Bay Area, so its hard to relate sometimes.
I’m also a big fan of the Housing Bubble Blog, as I like the national picture it gives. Also, guilty as charged, I do occasionally enjoy ripping seven shades of $hite out of the FBs featured there. That’s where i learnt to spell schadenfreude properly π

July 13, 2007 at 5:52 PM #65766temeculaguyParticipantPD the Buffet HOV rumor is more than likely just rumor as is oftern the case with the Oracle of Omaha, funny how it gets a 12% hop on a rumor that Buffet likes it. Personally I think the homebuilder stocks will rebound before the market will and HOV is dirt cheap right now and will be one of the survivors on the other side of the dip so it isn’t entirely out of the question that Buffet would grab a large stake at these prices.
