ParticipantYou know, after all this time I still struggle with the concept of a tract home that costs 12x the median household income for the County.

ParticipantYou’ll have a better grasp when you realize the easiest way to make money is San Diego over the last decade was to buy a house with a toxic loan.

Participant“It seems like you can get 4000+ sq ft for $800K”
This is true, but just started selling in the 800’s in the last few months. There are 2 properties that just closed in the 700’s. The one on Hawthorne (was listed for 835K)is 4300sqft and sold for 700K and another one on Blue Ridge (I think that’s the name of the street and was listed for 799K) 4070sqft sold for 720K. Both properties were not trashed and in good condition (I viewed both homes personally). Chula Vista has always been cheaper then Carmel Valley, but the gap is widening.March 21, 2008 at 10:25 PM #174903recordsclerk
