I thought it was bottom fishing too, but then I thought about it. Even if they could find someone good enough and desperate, why would they hire them? Anyone with half a brain knows the guy will stay till he finds someone paying 37.50/hr, then leave.
Sounds like a company is trying to prove they just can’t find any Americans. Strange because I didn’t think the H1-B visa program was being expanded right now. From what I’ve heard and its all anecdotal lots of H1-Bs have had to leave the US. Not many are getting in.

So yes, it is out there at those rates in India if you look for it. Not that it has anything to do with the dopey recruiter, but someone mentioned India.
