Certainly what I said is an oversimplification, but I think it is at least partly true as is what you’ve said.
It is hard to make a broad statement about everyone who is a member of one of the two largest political parties in the US. There is room enough in that huge party to point to examples where we are all right – you, me, and temeculaguy.
The narrative that people support Trump because they are sick of politicians moving to the center during the general elections may sound attractive but doesn’t stand up to the history of Trump.
Trump is a known flip flopper and his supporters actually expect him to change his tune, although he hasn’t so far.
Trump supporters like Trump because of what he says, not because he’s conservative and consistent.

As for Donald Trump, I have no idea if he is a racist. But by FIH’s own definition, he is not. Trump has never claimed white people are superior or any other race is inferior. I don’t ascribe to that definition. FIH does.
I will let you figure out Trump’s racism.
That definition is only one of racism. I didn’t talk about Trump’s racism, I applied that definition to my own comments about lower-class, non-college educated, White nativist-populists which you quoted. Please stay within context.
When I quoted you in this thread, it wasn’t because what you said in that quote was racist. But I did call you out, as have others on this site, as racist. Because you are, and I can.
So, when someone calls you racist, you have a very narrow definition of it, that excludes you from being a racist? And now you suddenly claim there are other definitions of racism that you conveniently ignored earlier?
Are you sure you’re not a lower-class, non-college educated, White nativist-populist?
And I’ll stay within whatever context I please.

Even odder that you actually think Donald Trump isn’t, even when leaders of his own party acknowledge that he is.
Please find anywhere on this entire forum where I said Trump wasn’t racist. Beats me. But if you agree with FIH’s definition of “racist”, then you both would not consider him a racist.
No. I’m done with you. You may be following your conversation perfectly. I’m not.
June 18, 2016 at 1:35 PM #798830FlyerInHiGuestPCinSD, I made a comment that included race. You called me a racist and I gave you the courtesy of a response.
if you want to take comments out of context, then that’s your prerogative. Carry on.

Gee, thanks. It’s also your prerogative to be racist. Carry on.

OK, I should have never engaged you in conversation. My mistake. Out.

No, you didn’t. You provided quotes. I have no idea who said some of them, or when, or in response to what. I’m sure it made perfect sense to you. I can’t follow it. Nor do I have any interest in doing so.

Wow. You asked for the words. So I gave them to you. Once presented with them, some of which were yours . . . You claim ignorance. Got it.

F Off. Seriously. I’m not claiming ignorance. I’m claiming you can’t clearly explain what you’re talking about. I asked you a simple question. You couldn’t provide a direct response. That’s not my ignorance. That’s yours.
June 19, 2016 at 11:22 AM #798843FlyerInHiGuestTalking about race, it’s becoming clear that Obama’s presidency has awakened racist sentiments in the country. For many Americans, Trump is the hope to restore the status quo ante.
There are growing academic studies about this phenomenon.

What was the question? Keep your story straight. You don’t recall what you posted on this site a scant week or so ago? You’re not very good at this.
If you simply had a change of heart about what you posted, it’s fine to admit that.

Wait…you answered a question, and you don’t even know what the question was? No wonder your answer made no sense.
No change of heart about anything.
