What if the realtor fully believes the market is leveing out. He points to an area like temecula and shows building costs at 95$ a square foot and selling prices at 105 per square foot. Seems likely that one could argue that there is substantially less downside than there has been in the last 5 to 7 years. Seems sort of strange to have the queen of ethics chining in when you question why you should have to make your rent payment. HMMMMMMarch 7, 2008 at 11:46 AM #165888RaybyrnesParticipantMarion

HMMMM?
In that case, don’t cha think I’d question whether or not I want to keep handing my money over to someone who’s lying and engaging in rent-skimming?
Especially since he “forgot” to tell me was losing the house…

March 7, 2008 at 12:28 PM #165593DukehornParticipantWell, this thread covers the spectrum of topics :).
Ok, Asian stereotypes:
In CA, the ABC yuppie stereotype is having a BMW/Audi. Then, there are the ABC yuppies that deliberately try to avoid that stereotype (such as myself). /cough Mazda3. But I’m burning the 10k plus difference by going to climb Kilimanjaro and Pico de Orizaba this year. Of course, I don’t have mommy and daddy helping me out, which plenty of Asian yuppies do.
Financial vices:
yep, cars for some folks. like I said, it’s adventure travel for me (and a nice titanium road bike and a carbon fiber one).
Salespeople:
That’s what a realtor is. Does a realtor take a “bar exam” or medical boards or actuarial tests? Even then, we (obviously) have horrible doctors and lawyers. Of course, there are going to be horrible realtors.
PS my parents have a toyota camry–no surprise.
