[quote=sdnerd]Also noticed the same thing in my complex. Rents have increased ~$100/mo and they get snatched up fast.
I was surprised when I first noticed the trend; not at all what I was expecting.

sdnerd – What part of San Diego ?
I am wondering whether these anecdotes are in the Central and coastal portions of San Diego, whereas I have read about declining rents in more outlying areas.January 27, 2009 at 4:03 PM #337543(former)FormerSanDieganParticipant[quote=sdnerd]Also noticed the same thing in my complex. January 27, 2009 at 4:29 PM #337249LAAFTERHOURSParticipantI would assume if you are in a home vs a property management place like an apartment complex that home owners would not raise rent on their tenants (if they have been there a year or more). This is assuming their mortgage hasnt reset and they have to charge you more.
