My wife works as a dentist and there is shenanigans in this industry aswell. A chipped tooth that is easily bonded is sold into a more expensivfe crown. A typical cleaning is turned into a root scaling. Just because you have a professional designation doesn’t mean that you ahve ethics. A better look at the certification process for CPA’s or the Bar exam for lawyer isn’t to establish a benchmark for skills or abilities but rather a way of managing how many lawyers and CPA’s are practicing at any given time. This is why they are able to carge 250 an hour. Just my take.

May 15, 2008 at 12:03 AM #204402AnonymousGuestpretty funny. Buying a home from a builder and worried about offending somebody. I agree with jasper.
Actually, I’d take my real estate agent over to the builder’s rep and explain that I’ve got 34% down but I’m not able to buy because of the loan broker and I’m really really sorry about that. What do you think would happen?
Basically, if you don’t understand something, make them explain it until you do. They’re all getting paid a lot of money from someone’s pockets (hint: The only one bringing their own money to the table is you), they can afford to take a little time. Step back and look at the amount of money you’re talking about; isn’t it worth a little thought and effort?

I’ve read your post a few times and have no idea what you thought would offend me !! I’ve got tough skin, but thanks. If I was a dirtbag, I sure as heck wouldn’t be public about who I am. As stated above, many people just don’t realize what the truth is when they hear it.
There are PLENTY of unprofessional creeps still in the industry, although many are gone trying their next scam…I’ve seen closing statements that made me sick, esp when they were from a friend or relative of the borrower, who told them it was a great loan.(The commission back from the lender tells me that it wasn’t)
I’m trying to help people if I can. Fact is obvious that millions of people (apparently) didn’t understand the loans that they are in. Others think that they know more than they really do.
I never did hear back from the OP tonight,, I suppose they made up. (Sounds like a love/hate relationship ?)
PLEASE DO MY LOAN AND MAKE MONEY OFF OF ME,,,
No no you are a horrible client, don’t you dare ask for anything,, go away,, Your loan is CANCELLED!
NO… PLEASE take me back,, blah blah blah
(Ray pointed out,, perhaps it was a headache?)But I know that my FAX machine works, I checked. π
Many thanks for the support from those of you that do know me as well as those of you that don’t. Much appreciated.
