There are 2 bank owned houses (based on realtrac) right across street from Portico in the Arabella development that are actully a house instead of detached condos. If you check redfin everyday last few months, you should know that some Arabella houses are cheaper than Porticos (larger but cheaper)…interesting huh.
I would consider the ownership premium to be a little bit more than the cost of renting. I’d be willing to pay up to 500 more a month than my rent to own. I guess it would depend on the circumstances

prop taxes~=savings in deduction
$300 in fees (HOA +)
Total=$3688/month
Equiv Rent?=~$3000+
